Galjook60

Projected layout of the galjook60. A row has been added to both sides to accommodate those who do not touch type properly yet. The middle rows could be used for novelties and artisans.

Galjook60: A good split keyboard

The Galjook60 is a split 60% keyboard with an extra column on either side for people to be able to adapt to split keyboards more easily. Users will be able to program the board with QMK. VIA support is not currently planned, but if there is a big enough demand, we will port the board to VIA. The project files will be released to the public after the initial group buy; anyone who missed the group buy can have the Galjook60 made using those files. We plan to offer the standard aluminum and 3d printed versions of the case, as well as an experimental Titanium version, albeit at an added cost. The Keyboard is planned to be top mount. This project is available on GitHub.

3D rendering of the left side PCB

Left Side PCB

The left side PCB was designed. Using an ATMEGA32u4 MCU, the board is compatible with QMK. The board uses a TRRS cable to communicate with the right side. The Huskeyboards logo is made of copper and will be slightly shiny. The board will support NKRO. We opted to implement USB-C as that is the most standardized connection type.

With this board, there are some protuding edges; please be careful not to cut yourself.
